Job Description:

Reporting organisationally to the Senior Manager, Licensing & Retail, the Coordinator, Licensing & Retail will be a key member of the FIFA26 Commercial Operations team, and work in close collaboration with the FIFA Zurich Head of Licensing & Retail and other key individuals responsible for delivering Licensing & Retail efforts for the FIFA World Cup 2026 that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues.

This role will be responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Licensing & Retail by coordinating licensing agreements, assisting with merchandise production and distribution, coordinating premium requirements for functional areas and other external stakeholders, analyzing sales data, and providing operational support for licensing and retail activities. Further, this role will oversee tasks such as conducting market research, supporting retail partnerships, and managing inventory.

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Coordinator, Licensing & Retail for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
  • Assist in coordinating and managing licensing agreements with partners, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and timelines.
  • Support the production and distribution of licensed merchandise, including coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
  • Analyze sales data and generate reports on merchandise performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize sales strategies.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to gather insights on consumer preferences, trends, and potential opportunities for licensing and retail activities.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing and promotional campaigns for licensed merchandise, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating inventory replenishment as needed.
  • Provide operational support for retail partnerships, including coordinating product displays, ensuring brand compliance, and addressing partner inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Support the maintenance of licensing and retail databases and systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Assist in managing licensing and retail budgets, tracking expenses, and providing financial analysis and reporting.
  • Support the coordination of licensing and retail-related events, such as trade shows, product launches, and promotional activities.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education
  • Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly creative and knowledgeable about market trends, experience within sports is a plus
  • Ability to see the big picture and adapt accordingly
  • Strong analysis and data skills
  • Eager and quick learner
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
